My Company Story
I wanted to start a business that reflected the idea of the "American Way". With hard work and believing that craftsmen should be proud of the merchandise they produce and sell, and that those products should be available to customers at a reasonable price. America was founded on this idea.
It is a philosophy that I feel has been passed down through the generations of my family. My Cedar Rapids roots extend deep. My ancestors have been involved in one form of construction or another in the area since the 1840's. The philosophy is also being passed on to future generations.
I am proud that the operation is a family affair it is a real asset. I learned a long time ago that you can be a dreamer, but you can't reach your dreams without help.
My dream for Affordable Plumbing & Remodeling began while working as an independent plumbing subcontractor. I'd be on the job and hear the customer tell us all the negatives about the experience, negatives like being dissatisfied with the quality of the product or not having strong lines of communication with the general contractor. I listened to all their negatives and built a consumer driven business around doing it the way it should be. .
We offer what we've learned to be the best product. We sell the products not the names. If a company doesn't maintain its quality level we change it to something better. And once you can offer the best possible product the next step is to back it up with the best installation and customer service. We always work towards that goal of complete satisfaction. It gives us a reason to come to work everyday. Everything we do here, we want to have fun doing it. We have pride in what we do when we walk out the door at night.
Affordable Plumbing & Remodeling is the only remodeling company in Iowa with a full-sized showroom. Customers can see and touch everything that might make their living space a showpiece, instead of just imagining it from a catalog. Customers appreciate that we specialize in kitchen and bath remodels. They're very surprised at how well we listen to their needs, and then have just what they want designed and custom-built. Affordable Plumbing & Remodeling also comes with its own plumbing company. The customer enjoys in-house service and the comfort of knowing that the company that sold the goods is also the contractor who will make sure it's a job well done. Customers appreciate this kind of specialty .
